FenwickElliott at Little Britain Challenge Cup 2010
The Little Britain Challenge Cup (LBCC) is an unmissable end of summer regatta that continues to attract a passionate following fromthe property and construction industry, offering the very best blend of challenging sport and serious fun. Little Britain takes place every September in Cowes on the Isle of Wight and this internationally-renowned sailing venue is the ideal location to host what has become Europe’s largest commercial sailing regatta since the event began in 1988, growing from just three entries to over 250 entries and 3,000 competitors in recent years. LBCC is non profitmaking and over the last 22 years has donated in excess of £1mto sailing charities to help disadvantaged or disabled people experience the world of sailing. Last year, an impressive £100,000 was raised and beneficiaries include the Ellen MacArthur Trust, the Jubilee Sailing Trust and the Cirdan Sailing Trust, as well as the 2012 Skandia Team GBR Paralympic Sailing Team.
The Fenwick Elliott team will participate in the J109 category again this year. Following our great performance in the event last year when we won all of our race categories the pressure will be on to replicate our success.
