Charlene Linneman

Contract experience
Charlene’s experience includes the JCT, DOM/1 and DOM/2 standard forms of contract as well as numerous bespoke contracts including EPC contracts.
General experience
Since her admission in Australia, Charlene has specialised in construction law, acting for both employers and contractors. She has experience in all stages of litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation. Charlene has experience in both domestic and international disputes. Since joining Fenwick Elliott, Charlene has been involved in giving advice in relation to claims and disputes on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Crude Oil Pipeline Project.
Career
Charlene graduated from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia, in 1997 with a degree in Law and a Bachelor of Applied Science. She subsequently completed a Graduate Certificate in Law. Charlene was admitted as a solicitor in Queensland in 2000. After her admission, she joined the construction industry group at McCullough Robertson, a commercial law firm in Queensland and later moved to Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Melbourne. Following her move to England, Charlene joined Curtis Davis Garrard and has been admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. She joined Fenwick Elliott as an assistant solicitor in May 2005, becoming an associate in June 2008.
Other activities
Charlene has written a number of articles for industry journals and is a regular contributor to Building Magazine’s website. Charlene organised the Society of Construction Law’s advocacy course in 2005 and 2006. Charlene has completed the MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution at King’s College, London where she was awarded a distinction degree and also both the Arbitration Club Philip Ranner Prize for best Module D examination script and the KCCLA Prize for the best examination performance by a second year student.

Charlene is a member of the Society of Construction Law.
