International EPC negotiations

An international mechanical engineering contractor sought help with the risk analysis of a complex JV contract to design, supply and build a new process plant – and eventually to extricate it from a lock-in pre-agreement when its full potential liabilities became clear.

Arbitration in the UAE

When an engineering project in the UAE fell into dispute, the contractor, dissatisfied with his current advisors, approached Fenwick Elliott to take over conduct of its claim.

Eastern European rail contract dispute

A dispute arose, under an amended version of the FIDIC Yellow Book, on a project for the electrification and upgrade of a railway line. Fenwick Elliott advised the government authority and achieved a negotiated settlement.
