General experience

Since her admission in New Zealand, Birgit has specialised in construction law. She has acted for a wide range of clients including property developers, homeowners, contractors and sub-contractors. She has appeared in the High Court and District Court as both sole and junior counsel, and has experience in adjudication and mediation. She has recently been involved in 'leaky building' litigation in Wellington, New Zealand.

Career

Birgit qualified with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand in 2004. After her admission as a solicitor in 2005, Birgit practised as a solicitor at Hazelton Law, Wellington, New Zealand for 2 years before joining Fenwick Elliott as an assistant solicitor in May 2007.

Birgit is a member of the New Zealand Law Society.
